Rock Rythm 1( rock)

This lesson is for beginners. If you are not a beginner you can go to Rock Rythm 2!

First you have to learn how to read a tab. It's easy! See the tab at the right, the number three is in first line, that means to play the first string (as you look the guitar-the more fat) and the fret three, the number five means to play the five fret in the second string as you look the guitar. The two notes are in the same horizon line, this means to play them at the same time!
How to be synchronized with metronome?
You must learn what the beats are (metronome) and how much time each note sounds. Play the metronome to hear the sound. See down the tab, the two first notes is connected with a black line, up to the picture. This means that must play the first two notes before second beat of metronome sound.
This is the basic, you will learn more in time

What settings to put in my amplifier?
You can put that sounds you nicer. Here is an example (drive=gain)

If you want, you can count as you play, maybe you thing that is needless but you will be needed that for more difficult exercises. Here an easy rythm, which every chord is in the beat of metronome, count as you play: one-two-three-four.
metronome: 60 to 100
Here one more, with a stop in beats two and four. You can stop the strings with your left hand, just rest your finger in the strings, you can try to do the same with the left hand. Don't forget to count!
one-stop-three-stop
here a little more different
one-stop-three-four-stop-two-three-stop
Here an example with four notes with every beat. You must play four notes before the second beat sounds. Here you can count a little diffferent, you can say plus in the middle of each beat like :
1-plus - 2-plus -3-plus - 4-plus
